Working with a Team

Recently, we have been discussing how you can contribute to our cause individually.
That said, many find themselves more comfortable in a group setting, free to explore new areas to pick up litter. Some may say groups can cover more ground than a singular person as well. Today, I will talk with you about ways to work with others to improve your neighborhood.
When looking for a team to work with, you might not have to look farther than your friends and family. Beach cleanups, adopt-a-highways, and park pickups are just a few examples of activities you may want to do. If you are looking for something more, consider leading events for local volunteer groups or even girl scout troops. You can research opportunities in your town for the type of volunteering you may want to do. Of course, with COVID-19 you will need to make sure that when you are participating you are doing it in a safe way.
Again, know that you do not have to be a part of a team to make a difference! Moving trash from next to a trash can to inside it, using a reusable bag at the grocery store, grabbing a food wrapper from the sidewalk: these are all small things that somebody can do for their community.
Below are a few links to help you on your way!
