Heading into the new year, many of us can’t help but feel a sense of relief leaving 2020 behind. This said we have to realize that we can’t leave all of our problems behind us. There are still issues that will be carried into 2021 and new ones that will arise still. When writing your New Year’s resolutions, you need to not only focus on manageable goals but also your plans on how to achieve them. Statistics show that the majority of people abandon their New Year’s resolutions by January 19th. So it is important to find ways to make these resolutions fun and engaging, enough to keep yourself motivated to fulfill them.
Here at Pick It Up, we sincerely hope that when you consider what you want to accomplish in the new year you will think of reducing your carbon footprint. Simple tasks, such as picking up the litter you see when you walk, taking shorter showers, composting, or walking instead of driving. Below is a great article by the New York Times that has a lot of our favorite resolution ideas. Have a great New Year!
