With the much needed holiday season rapidly approaching, we thought there was no better time to write about how this merry season affects each and every one of us. Moreover, with the distractions of baking, shopping, and decorating, millions find themselves unknowingly increasing their carbon footprint.

With the celebrations and holidays that take place during this jolly time, we see an incredibly disturbing surplus in many aspects of life. We witness increases in plastics, burning fossil fuels, carbon emissions, etc. This comes from people overbuying things like food, presents, fake trees, decorations, and more, all of which is accompanied by littering.
